The Hypercom 3+ (zorro) and the Hypercom 4+ are essentially the same hardware. The only real difference is the Hypercom 4+ has an extra IC and headers for the additional parallel and serial ports. They are both half length Zorro II cards and provide the following:

Hypercom 3+ (zorro)
2 x High speed serial ports at up to 460Kbps
1 x High speed parallel port at up to 560Kbps

Hypercom 4+
4 x High speed serial ports at up to 460Kbps
2 x High speed parallel port at up to 560Kbps

The original design of this card was developed by Jens Schoenfeld (Individual Computers) and licensed for manufacture to VMC. At the time of writing, the first 200 cards were manufactured by VMC whilst the next 80 were manufactured by Individual Computers.
