The Trumpcard 500 and the Trumpcard 2000 are actually the same card. The only difference is that the A500 version was supplied in an external case to attach to the side expansion slot of the A500/+. The Trumpcard itself is simply a Zorro II card. The card contains a 50pin SCSI connector for attaching the hard drives too. For the A500 version the hard drive is actually mounted in the roof of the case, with the A2000 version, special drive mounting rails were available to attach the hard drive. There may have been several versions of this card produced, and in particular an early prototype with SIMM sockets fitted to the card, but this has not been confirmed. An additional memory expansion was also available. The Trumpcard uses an AMD53c80 chipset and is capable of about 1.5MB/sec. It does not make use of DMA. The card contains a jumper to switch between booting for Kickstart 1.2 and 1.3
