    Aminet CD 7

CONTENTS

Aminet CD 7 contains over 1 gigabyte of freely distributable software.
The newest file included is dated June 26th.  Besides the the new software,
the CD concentrates on pictures and clip art.  The space on the CD is used
as follows:

      650M of software newer than Aminet CD 6 (more than ever before)
      350M of images
       50M of top downloads

    These consist of:
      1500 pictures   (+7700 clip art images in large archives)
      1250 tools
       380 mods
       130 games
        70 demos

The pictures were collected from various sources besides Aminet, and will
show up on Aminet eventually.


ACCESS SOFTWARE

Amigaguide based user interface, allows easy unpacking and viewing using a
single mouse click.

Extensive search facilities.  Finds words in descriptions or readmes, and
outputs matches as an index that allows direct viewing.

New access features for the following categories of files:

- Images: All .jpg images can now be converted to IFF using a single mouse
  click.  There is also a simple batch conversion facility.

- Clip art: The clip art images on the CD are organized in large archives
  but can be displayed individually.  The clip art has meaningful names and
  sometimes comments.  Clip art can be viewed using thumbnails, slide shows
  or descriptions.  There is also a textual search facility for the clip art.

- Software changes: The 'Find' program can search for several words at a
  time now, PicZoo has comments for many pics and runs on gfx boards (at
  least with clip art).  And of course various bug fixes.
