 - New modem standard?

   A proposed standard for 16.8K bps and 19.2K bps is supposedly in the
   works.  Dubbed V.32terbo (ter meaning three, as in the third V.32
   standard), this could offer current V.32bis owners an easy upgrade
   path.  Reports indicate that a simple firmware upgrade (possibly a
   chip change too) is all that would be required.  More on this as it
   develops.
